Wave Generator
The Wave Generator is a custom device in the Horror Creatures Add-On used to spawn waves of horror creatures in a vanilla biome environment. It challenges players to survive escalating waves of enemies within a defined arena.
Setup and Environment
Must be placed in a regular vanilla biome with natural terrain features (e.g., trees) rather than flat surfaces.
Upon placement, it creates a red bounding box which defines the battle arena.
The arena represents the area affected by the generator and where waves will spawn.
Gameplay Mechanics
Players must stay inside the bounding box to keep the generator active; leaving the area stops the generator.
Waves consist of random threats that players must defeat to progress to the next wave.
All creatures in a wave must be defeated before the next wave begins.
Successfully clearing all waves rewards players with a Dark Boss Energy item, used for trading with the Energy Trader.
Difficulty and Batteries
Players craft Red Batteries in four levels (Level 1 to Level 4) to power the generator.
The battery level determines the wave difficulty and arena size.
Higher level batteries produce larger arenas and more challenging waves.
Level 4 batteries create a highly challenging experience requiring serious preparation.
