Horror Creatures Add-On
Horror Biome
The Horror Biome is a dark, twisted environment that dynamically forms during the night within the Horror Creatures universe. It captures the terrifying atmosphere brought by the spreading Dark Fog and other malevolent forces, becoming a central feature of the nightmarish survival experience.
Formation and Key Features
The primary catalyst for the Horror Biome is the Dark Fog, which spreads across the landscape during Blood Night and Black Hole Night, corrupting the terrain and transforming it into a hostile, eerie landscape.
The biome manifests through corrupted, darkened terrain, featuring twisted trees, withered plants, and ominous lighting effects that evoke dread and unease.
Its creation can be toggled on or off within the add-on settings, allowing players to customize their experience.
Additional Sources of Horror Biome Creation
Certain powerful weapons, such as the Great Sword and Tentacle Sword, have the ability to generate or expand the Horror Biome upon attack or impact, further spreading the corrupted environment.
Specific Horror Creatures within the add-on also contribute actively to the formation and reinforcement of the biome, deepening the sense of pervasive horror.
Within the Horror Biome, certain powerful buffs affect monsters, enhancing the danger they pose to players. These buffs are tied to specific night types and significantly increase monster strength:
Red Rage: Activated during Blood Night, monsters in contact with the Horror Biome gain increased strength and emit ominous particles, signaling their enraged state and heightened combat abilities.
Invisible Death: Activated during Invisible Night, monsters touching the Horror Biome are surrounded by a dark aura that grants them extreme strength, making them far more lethal and difficult to defeat.
