Weather System
The Weather System adds dynamic underground weather while exploring underground areas.
Weather can shift between calm conditions and heavy storms, changing the intensity of the visuals around you. Wind is also directional, affecting most particles and making the environment feel more alive.
NoteWeather behavior can be adjusted in the settings menu, including how drastic changes can be and how quickly the weather shifts.
How It Works
Underground weather changes over time as you explore. Some periods are mild, while others become much more intense.
The current weather mainly affects:
Visual intensity
Particle movement
Wind direction
Storms
When the weather becomes strong enough, it can develop into a storm.
During storms, the wind becomes powerful enough to push the player in its direction. This can make movement harder, especially in more open areas.
HintHiding behind blocks can help protect you from the wind and reduce the pushback during storms.
Settings
Several parts of the weather system can be adjusted in the settings menu.
These options include:
The chance for more drastic weather changes
The speed at which the weather can change
This allows the system to be tuned from more subtle ambient weather to much more dramatic underground storms.
