Eternal Caves Add-On

Gemstone System

Unlike materials which are used to craft new equipment, gemstones are used to upgrade and enhance your existing gear.
Gems are found underground, and generate more frequent the deeper you go into caves.
They can be applied to Equipment by a blacksmith
Dwarf in the Dwarven Ralm. You can mix and stack the gems within the available slots of an item.
Higher tier Materials have more gem slots. In general, the more gems you add, the stronger the effect becomes.
Tip:
Making it worth it, at times, to stack specific gemstone effects onto one item to receive the highest effect.

Applying Gemstones

To use the gem system, find a Blacksmith Dwarf  in the  Dwarven Ralm and interact with them while holding the tool or armor piece you want to modify. The blacksmith will let you fuse gems into the item or remove them again.
Gemstone fusing only works in Survival mode.
