How much will Eternal Caves cost?
Can I download Eternal Caves Add-On for free?
No, Eternal Caves is exclusively available through the official Minecraft Marketplace.

Will Eternal Caves be on sale soon?
There is no sale planned for Eternal Caves. Only projects of a certain age are eligible to opt in to sales. Expect Eternal Caves not to be on sale for many months.
World Generation
How many caves are included?
Long Answer: Eternal Caves features multiple types of caves. At the moment, there are 13 Biome Caves, which generate in the upper stone height range and connect to their respective surface biomes, as well as 9 Special Caves, which generate in the deepslate height range. Additionally to these 22 new Caves, the existing 5 Vanilla Caves also got some visual upgrades.
Can I add Eternal Caves to my existing world?
All add-ons can be added to existing worlds and this is also the case for Eternal Caves. But there is something important to consider:
The world generation will only be applied to newly generated chunks, so any previously generated chunk will remain unaffected. This can lead to rough transitions to our new biomes & terrains. Contrary to how Vanilla handles it, we unfortunately do not have the option of blending chunks smoothly.
We strongly recommend creating a copy of your world beforehand and trying it out with Eternal Caves first to see if and to what extent you are affected.

In general, it is ALWAYS advisable to make a backup / copy of your world before adding a new add-on as there can always be compatibility issues.
Can I remove Eternal Caves from existing worlds?
Like any Add-On, custom blocks added by the Add-On may be left behind when the Add-On is removed from the world. This is done deliberately by Minecraft so that these things are not lost if you accidentally remove your add-on. If this happens to you, simply add Eternal Caves back to the world!
Please also note that once you have generated chunks with Eternal Caves, these chunks will remain as they are - even if the add-on has been removed.

Compatibility
Is it compatible with other world generation Add-Ons?
We currently do not officially guarantee compatibility with any other world generation Add-On. We recommend testing this on a copy of your world so that you can always switch back if the result is not what you hoped for.
Is it compatible with other VFX or Animation Add-Ons?
While we do not officially guarantee compatibility, we don't see any issues with other VFX Add-Ons. Also, in case any of our VFX collides with other ones, we offer settings to disable ours.
